Could be worse. If you have a desk near the water cooler or the coffee machine, you'll get all the loud idiots distracting you.

Worse if you are in a cube next to an office occupied by a loud character who doesn't know how to shut his door. Constantly talking sports to all his friends who drift by, always using the phone on speaker, etc. Its worse than sharing a cube with a 'hummer', 'tapper', 'clicker' or a 'sniffer'*

*hummer - hums a tune all day long. Often there is no discernible tune to it.
tapper - the world is their drum kit
clicker - the ones who wear out a pen before it runs out of ink
sniffer - never blow their nose, no mater how solid their sniffing sounds.
