About the moon landing. Is easy to proof.

If there was a moon landing there should be junk in the moon. So a telescope (maybe the Hubble) should be able to see the junk. As the moon have no atmosphere, the rate of decay is VERY slow.

However if there was no moon landing, you will not see any junk there, no mater how hard you search.

As of proof of the moon landing. Each and every piece of evidence could have being faked with the technology of the time. That was proven. But just because the evidence could have being faked (and there was a huge incentive to do it), it does not mean it was fake.

Unless you have personally walk on the moon, on one side, or where part of the conspiracy to create a fake landing, on the other side. The only non faith based answer is "I don't know".

Everything else is faith based.

Just as the existence or not existence of God. You say God exist, its faith (unless you are God). You say God does not exist, guess what is also faith. "I don't know" is the only non faith based answer.

@PeterW sure it would, but whats the fun in that? And how would we work the rocket boosters into the plan?

@DirtKing wouldn't it be cheaper to turn it into a glassy plain and mine it here on Earth?

@swaps - notwithstanding anything else, why did the Russians abruptly stop trying to launch a moon mission? You don't think the countries that detest the USA wouldn't have had a lovely time pushing your position if it were halfway credible? That's a loooong list of countries, and many of them have space programs of their own, so it's not as though they lacked the know-how to detect such a fraud.

I think Scott should not indulge in geo-poltical and 'environment conscious' kind of jokes, not because he is bad at it, but because there is no one as good as Scott on "Daily Office Jokes"!
