And that McD's had been warned repeatedly that it was too hot. And all she asked for was medical compensation.

That's true too.
Also, she was around 80 years old when it happened, and the elderly have a much harder time healing.
Everyone talks about it like she was suing for millions, but she really only wanted the med expenses. They ended up settling, I think.
