True. I recall the coffee that was spilled had been heated to something like 200 degrees, well beyond the temperature it is meant to be (obviously).

If you're talking about the Liebeck v McDonald's coffee case,
I use to think (like most people) that that was a frivolous lawsuit,
until I had to go over the evidence for a Business & Law (required gen. ed.) class.

It was actually a lot more serious than everyone assumes. The lady had to have skin grafts.
