My slimy cousin has been a president of various tiny banks. Before his last bank failed, he and his wife divorced, she took him for every penny he had, and then he declared bankruptcy. They still live together, it's just that he has no assets to seize.

On the up side, at least Dilbert has grown wise enough to stop putting his money in the Bank of Ethel.

Strictly speaking, it was the previous administration who gave billions in a bailout; then Congress, of course, asked for no guarantees that the money would be used to help average Americans, and also allowed the money to be used for bonuses.

@kurkosdr: well, you are basically right, but I can assure you that those who really holds the power love it the way common people hate it. Sorry. You must change system itself. Than it will work. But new system will not have a place for banks, not banks like they are now. I'm pretty sure.
