@G0mMt3, I get more spam from our own automated systems than I do from the outside world. Most of it is swept away by filters. Most of these emails have to come from an actual real person's account, so whoever that account belongs to is constantly finding that their real mails to people get filtered out and people never see them.

Why don't we reduce the amount of spam we send to our own teams? Either by being smarter about what we send out or by making this stuff opt in?

I don't know. I've asked the same question and never got a real answer.

bah, that more depends on weather you want to get a job done or not, weather you want it to be bad or not...

@kennethctaylor
So that is why they don't fix the system.
People want it to be bad so they can use it as an excuse.
I do not see how an email could get lost in spam within a company.
Let's hope that DKIM and DomainKey-Signature become mandatory.

It's best when we don't let the team interfere with the teamwork :-)

You have to love e-mail, everyone just expects it to fail us at crucial moments like this, so it becomes the perfect excuse. Which I guess is why Wally was ready to throw out a line - never know when he'll need it himself!
