First of all: believers of all faiths, cheer it up!
Scott is not poking fun at religions, he is poking fun at those who believe in the Cloud and related concepts as messianic archetipes that somehow will, by inescrutable means, deliver the promise that data is the currency of our future. Employees of big companies already know what dogmas am referring to. (Btw, PHB remembers me to Nixon here)
And by the way, if you are going to go taliban on each poor infidel that dare to mention the word "religion" in a less than reverent tone, you may need to revision the precepts of your Faith, because am pretty sure you are getting them wrong.

Centaurian x 2 (well Catholic not Methodist, but I'm sure you know what I mean).

For no obvious reason, and despite its overuse, I always find "Let us Pay" as a play on "Let us Pray" very funny!!

There is a difference between believing in sth., tell everyone about it and actually adapt christian values.

Telling other people to go to hell is probably not what Jesus wanted you to do. I'm just assuming.
