Frankly, I didn't understand what PHB said until I read RxF's comment. All the same, it is difficult for me to believe PHB could utter such ultra-esoteric jargon.
I have come across a variation in my institute, where many of my colleagues (from various various regions of India with different languages and dialects) would often slip into their own dialects, even while discussing purely scientific matters. This habit is particularly common among Punjabis and Bengalis, but the boss would start talking in Bhojpuri, a dialect of Hindi. But no one cared, because nothing that we discussed was of any importance whatsoever.

Screw the pooch = to screw up
