I agree with NorthernHick. I am amazed how many politicians and news media quote facts that don't have any units. Like "he wants to cut the defense budget by 10 trillion dollars". None of them ever reference over what time period. 10 trillion over 100 years might be reasonable. They think we are to stupid to get it.

And...saiken, it shows how far into the internet world we've come if your first association with the word "Opera" is the web browser.

I thought that tessla was suggesting that opera - the music form - had somehow helped Obama get elected.

I've generally found it to be the other way around. Mainstream media journalists simply don't understand, for example, particle physics, and so they end up dealing with the subject matter in an overly simplistic way which is easy to understand but...well...wrong.
