We're all Dilbert fans for a reason. I wish more people here remembered that before resorting to disrespectful behavior.
Today at the canteen I mentioned that Canadian girl who committed suicide because not only she was a crime victim, but her school colleagues humiliated her on a daily basis because they knew the background.
Let that be a lesson to all of us to be nice to each other, and then hopefully, people will be nice to us.
@boredTodeath - glad I dont work for you. I want a tenible job that I can keep. IF one must resort to criminal behavior to remain employed, tehn sooner or later one is going into the iron-bar hotel, or will get stuck with a law suit, therefore reaping unto oneself, the aforemensioned poverty you where trying to avoid.
If you think capatalism is bad, then check out the experience the Russians had with the alternative over the last seventy years or so. One of the biggest things for any company to deal with is if they make/design/market a clearly junk product they may sell some to an unsuspecting customer, but sooner or later the reputation of it will come back to bite them via the Internet. Buyer's remorse has become a deadly weapon on the net, but the advice "caveat emptor" is still a prime focus for any one of us. I have been fantasizing about buying a new car lately, and I have been searching the net for any number of entries blogging about car A, B, or C. Also have talked to mechanics about them, read magazine articles, and, especially, talked to owners of the cars in question. Thou shalt do thy homework....
LOL - I assume your keyboard entry digits were firmly planted "in cheek" eh?
I love this - Scott has nailed another astute statement about the amazing disconnect in mentality between:
a) Engineers who honestly try to exceed all expectations for any product they deliver (the direct result of Corporations and Entrepreneurs allowed to Profit by application of effort and ingenuity in a Capitalist infrastructure)
b) Marketing weenies who over-exaggerate, over-promise, and overcome all factual restraints when fabricating inventive campaigns to appeal to the masses
- and -
c) Incompetent leadership that demands and expects such 'creativity' from marketing and even accounting...and wants NO PART of any e-paper trail to exist which might question whether or not they knew - or should have - or could have known about any facts to the contrary.

It's not just Capitalist Corporations, of course...Witness the ongoing employment of Eric Holder in the face of Fast & Furious, or the golden parachutes of the ex-leadership at Solyndra, or the tenure awarded the so-called 'climatologists' who made up the whole Global Warming scam.
