This is common for all interns.

During my first year as an Intern, I was like this. So eager to do anything and being fully capable to justify that the menial tasks I was doing were important for the company. Now that I have been working for a few years and have an intern of my own, I realize the level of insanity that it takes to actually make it as an intern.

I had to do that for a orginization.. Dig deep into the web-log with only free analysis tools to determine the # of user that loged into the webmail servers over a snowed out week.

It was a interesting techncial chalange, that I will never need to do again. But I did learn alot about Microsofts logparser tool. (A mini SQL based Database engine). Which I haven't had to use since.

Here's Smiley's next assignment: take all the worthless assignments and organize them and see if there are any that are missing. Give the missing ones to Alice to do. So much for the happy smile....

I think having to be an intern for all of eternity = insanity.

...Ummm....he would seem to have missed the class on how not to get work done. And the class on not getting more work to do.
