Studies also show that by the time you've spent four years doing the same job, you begin to get stale and should do something different. Anyone spot a problem here or is it just me?
ten thousand hours? If you studied that thing for 8 hours a day then it would take 1250 days to get good at something. Well you aren't going to spend every day nor every week studying that one thing and so let's assume a working week where a person works about 47 weeks a year and works 5 days a week, that will be just under 5.5 years. So basically it takes around five and half years to get good at something if you spent as much time in it as you did working.
(They say it's ten years, roughly.)
Ten years? A mental disorder? Of course, you're a dog. By the time you're good you'll be old and soon close to dead.
