That way, on his free time, he can focus on inventing something that will allow him financial independence to get out of that hell hole. The satisfaction will come from that.

Wally was once a brilliant engineer that became disgruntled with the company once he saw the reality of rewarding incompetence while punishing competence. So it that company, Wallies advice is wise.
