@snarkm: Yes, there is a cross training process at work here. Skilled goofing off and bad work habits can evolve with time but they can be learned much faster from someone with expertise in those areas. Former state employees I know have described this approach in vivid detail.

The Wallybot is unclear on a few other things, too. The fax machine is in love with him....I can hardly wait to see what Wally and Dilbert get the robot to do next...

Why wasn't Wally fired immediately after the Robot was hired? Why the overlap at all? Did they need Wally to train him first?

Wally should have included the secretary, disgruntled killer Wallybot now visiting the pointy haired sadist. My inner mad scientist is coming out just thinking of all the lethal possibilities.
