A guess can be based on information and experience; intuition is not.
Say, for example, that we have a bag containing 99 black balls and one white ball. I am going to draw one of them out; what colour will it be? Logic and a knowledge of probabilty enable us to guess that it will be black. No intuition is involved. However, plenty of people will say "I have an intuition that it will be the white one."
You will also find plenty of people (the technical term for them is "gamblers") who have an "intuition" that 17 will turn up on the roulette wheel, or that the lotter numbers will be 5-6-13-27-29-41. That is not guesswork.
