I hadn't thought of it that way. I work on an Internet-based system and process millions of dollars in charges for my hospital.

My job consists of rearranging bits of the physical world, and it is nowhere near the head rush Dilbert imagines it to be.

Whether I spend it rearranging bits of the real world or a virtual one, it is only in my free time that I feel like I am actually doing a thing.

Hmmm...lessee - I had to think about this one. Dilbert pushed some buttons and things appeared or dissapeared on his computer screen, but he claims nothing happened even though he was able to see the evidence of what he was doing. This means that if no one else sees what you are doing on your computer it doesn't exist, so, does the tree that falls in the forest hear itself fall even though no one else is there to witness or hear the event? The PHB didn't even rise to the bait on this one....
