Ouch! The truth hurts. I've always been honest on my resumes and in interviews--and ended up working with incompetent people who weren't. I read a stat once that said employers think something like 75% of applicants lie on their resumes. In other words, they assume you are lying, which puts the honest candidate at a disadvantage. Not only doesn't she look as good as the liar, but the employer assumes the skills and abilities she has are much lower than the resume states.
