I know it's old-fashioned, but I would think that a company would prefer to keep their data where they control access. So I've never understood cloud computing as anything but making a company totally dependent on outside sources who don't know them and could care less about anything but their monthly billings.
We lost our presence in the cloud once. A teenager they had working there thought it would be cool to change all the DNS names and our site went into lala land. Needless to say, the company was bought out and they only kept one of their employees.
