So true, so true. Where I work, the 80-year-old gofer, who's wildly overcompensated, has been there accumulating and compounding those 2% raises for over 50 years. He makes more than I do, even though I'm the key technical employee. Nevertheless, I'm reasonably well compensated so I stay, but I had to get it by film-flaming the owners. It just ain't right and I'm certainly not inspired.

And BTW, by saying "You can't do that" is the PHB implying that he thinks that the quality of Dilbert's work is already as poor as is possible? That'd be grounds for quitting/firing right there. Wallyville here we come!

This is so appropriate. I haven't had my evaluation yet, but I was noticing when I looked at my online paycheck I had gotten a raise. Calculated out to ---- 2%.

This despite, as people have resigned, picking up odds and ends of the work they used to do. (Some of them were not replaced - pure profit.)

And thats how Wallies are created.

The moment a good employee realizes that no mater how much they work they wont get compensated. It seem that Dilbert is finally getting to realize what Wally realized a long time ago.

I am totally like Dilbert with the recent yearly raises. That's OK. It's better than nothing and being unemployed (a big one recently).
