ewood: you are absolutely right. Being married does not necessarily means sharing the warmth of human contact. In the Woody Allen movie "Sleeper", he wakes up 200 years in the future after being frozen for that long. When a woman asks him how could he go for 200 years without sex, he responds "it's actually 204 years, if you count my marriage". Funny, and sad at the same time.

I suppose Wally's marital history (as HelmeetElGato alleges Wally has) and his claim of never having tried "the warmth of human contact" aren't necessarily contradictory claims... I know for a fact that you can get married despite a lack of warm human contact. I don't recommend it, of course. Wally is ahead of the curve as ever.

Wally is 100% correct, as always. "Wife" does not always equal "warmth of human contact". As, I am sure, "Husband" doesn't always, either.

For Thinking Types - Wifely interactions may just be a commodity as warmth and human contact are not congruent with their personality types.

Wally may know that such commodities can be rented and what you are paying for isn't so much the commodity as it is that it will Go Away afterwards.
