What impresses me about Ted's boredom toleration level is that he doesn't even use a Smartphone or MP3 Player.

It seems that when corporations got this world, tolerance to boredom increased widely across all the stuff... My granddad never mentioned procrastination, only thing he knew was a real and hard work. Now it seems days of hard work are gone and people like PHB are overpaid without any indication of shame...

HA! I could sit on that room for decades and laught all the way to the bank.
Half the workday my body is there, my mind is somewhere else anyway.

Detroit, who has NO HORSES still has Full Time Horse Shoers on the payroll at $60,000/yr. The Unions say the city cannot eliminate those positions. So those employees collect a heft salary with pensions/benefits for doing nothing. And we wonder how cities like Detroit go bankrupt.
