I just had to glimpse what the comments were on today's strip. Seeing the enormous number of negative votes to the post by richmahn gave me my first big laugh of the week. Somehow, I think it would not be cost effective to advertise bibles or The 700 Club on the Dilbert site.

But, if you can make some money, you may be able to have a meaningless relationship with another temporary arrangement of matter that will, for a time, make the universe seem a little less cold and uncaring.

If you must have motivation, think of your paycheck on Friday. - Noel Coward.

Good and evil aren't intrinsic things, they are relative values placed on things by people and one person's "understanding" of good and evil are vastly different from another persons "understanding". When you really get down to it, most people that do "evil" things, do them because they think either that what they are doing is "good" or because it is "justified".

However if there is one thing we can be certain of it is this, the universe on average IS very, extremely cold in a literal sense to a degree where by only extremely thin strips (relatively speaking) of the universe are capable of sustaining life and one of the key factors in that is temperature.

It's sad that Scott sees us just on a cold, uncaring universe. That is not the truth at all. There is much to realize about good and evil, and yes, evil must exist for us to know about it, but usually evil lies within us and we fail to see that. The knowledge of good and evil and how we deal with it has been here from the start...and was done so by a caring Creator...
