Whenever we have a person in our department out, our boss assigns one of us to cover that person's caseload. But the person has to also do his/her OWN caseload completely. Since both teams would have their own meetings at the exact same time, this means that one person would need to be in two places at once. I have tried to explain the problem with this concept to my boss numerous times and to suggest solutions. I tell her she's digging one hole to fill another. Either way, there is a hole left... She just looks at me blankly and sticks with the original plan. If anyone complains b/c the covering person couldn't do everything, the covering person gets in trouble....
