So your business card... with your name, place of work and contact number... can I have it please. I was planning to threaten to sue you anyway one way or another after the purchase, hitting me with a chair just makes it easier. Tho I could waver this for an additional discount.

@normfromga and @Morkjee, The rule is $20 per occurance, $50 per year. So basically the rep can buy you lunch. I alwasy thought it weird that anyone thought a cheesesteak woudl be enough to sway my opinion on a contract or service.

Dilbert should tell the guy that he is a headhunter and then offer him a job. That may get the discount. Or, maybe not.

@Moorkjee. You must work for GSA. Down in the trenches, an individual engineer getting more than a ball-point pen from a vendor, without reporting the gift in triplicate, could face heavy disciplinary action. Of course, those above their paygrade, if caught, would probably just jump onto the vendor's payroll.
