They could raise the CEO's retirement bonus to a point where he quits on the spot. Expensive but there would be a few days of no executive decisions. In that window the crew could turn out a real product and make back the money. Plus giving themselves bonuses by convincing the PHB it will look good when the new CEO finally gets around to seeing what the peasants do when they're not worshiping his statues.
