Unfortunately, just because you have a passion for something doesn't mean you are any good at it. Two years ago I had my hernia repaired; I couldn't have cared less whether the surgeon was passionate about hernias (in fact, I would have thought it was rather weird if he had been). What I wanted was someone who had repaired a million hernias, knew how to do the job with his eyes shut, and was bored to death by the whole thing.

By the way, Soldierboy, what does ""passion is !$%*!$%*!$" mean? At least, what does !$%*!$%*$ rhyme with? Spit? Rowlocks? Stalls? Slap?

I have a passion for making snarky remarks about low information managers.
I can not turn that talent into a paying job though.
Scott Adams has taken that career option.

Soldierboy, I think you're confusing two kinds of passion.

One is a hotheaded spur-of-the -moment lust to do something you may later regret.

The other, a need to do something that you love or else be miserable.

Someone (I forget who) said something like "I found the thing I loved to do, and have never worked a day in my life."

From panel 1 & 2, means they are not successful or they do not have passion for what they do?
A lot of charismatic CEOs can always bring positive energy to their employees, this can lead certain employees' success.
