The fact that anyone is gay, given the level of indoctrination that occurs in most societies to be a "normal" man or a "normal" woman and behave in a certain way, dress in a certain way and love in a certain way, this suggests to me that gayness is not a choice but is something people are predisposed to being. Whether that is genetic, epigenetic or hormonal I have no idea but it is a constant across all societies and therefore "natural". Making it illegal will have no impact on the numbers or the practice just as the war on drugs has no impact on the number of users.

It's not politics! It's human rights.

This was actually not expected from you Scott.
You did not actually read the ruling issued by the Supreme Court of India, you just went with what the "popular" media wrote as the headline.

Please go through it and then provide your precious comment.

RxF, agree totally. Gayness is not learned behavior any more than left or right handedness is learned. If it were, where did Cheney's daughter or Phyllis Schaffly's son learn it? When did anyone make the "choice" to be gay? I never "chose" to be straight.

Thanks for continuing stereotypes (sarcasm). Also, thanks for filling my inbox with your unwanted political views (heavy sarcasm). India is a sovereign democracy and able to write it's own laws without the united States citizens acting as a dictators telling us what to do.
