A successful initiative requires at least one leader who is intelligent enough to make informed decisions, including the decision who can be trusted to supply objective criticism.

This is why so many successful initiatives lose their way once the founder is taken out of the process.

@RxF: George Bernard Shaw is not nearly as terrible as Jonathan Swift. Swift advocated ending childhood poverty by feeding poor children to the rich.
