The first Dilbert strip is listed as April 16, 1989. That makes this strip the 25th anniversary of Dilbert's appearance. Congratulations, Scott, on 25 years of amazing business-based humor; amazingly, the well shows no sign of running dry, as the corporate world continues to be full of pointy-haired bosses, egomaniacal CEO's, and maddening co-workers. Here's to another 25 years of greatness!

I once read an essay written by someone who quickly discovered working from home not to be all it's cracked up to be. The first thing he missed was the human contact.

Speaking as someone who consistently scores 90% on "Are you an Introvert?" quizzes, I knew there was one more thing about work I disliked.

In every round of recruitment, you see a few of these guys. They're going through the motions of a job-hunt because it's required - for continued receipt of unemployment benefits or social assistance or pay in lieu of notice from another job. They have to apply, they can't turn down the interview, but they absolutely don't want to get an offer, because they couldn't turn that down either.

"Lonely"? I am sure he would hit it off with Alice.
