Hey, they're just numbers, right? On the other hand, I do have my library card number memorized, and that kinda stuff is important...at least it might be....

In one of his books, Scott talks about how he went in disguise to discuss a company's mission statement with employees. They came up with something about "evangelizing the result of the testing" or some such claptrap. And those people were being serious.

As an Engineer he could put them in the complex form, expressing both real and imaginary components of the business case (obviously mostly in the latter).
