Dlbert really needs to learn to go with his instincts. Killing a marketing wonk is satisfying and nobody cares because the reproduce like viruses. Parasitizing the company and draining it's resources for useless and selfish reasons. Which is supposed to be the PHB's job.

About 30 years ago, I had a job I really enjoyed (yes, really). One of the few negatives was the marketing department. I was in R&D where I had moved from the European third level support role. I was *very* well informed as to what customers needed. R&D had around a dozen engineers. The marketing department was larger. No one in the department was technical, or able to understand customer issues. I never once spoke to anyone in marketing, but every new release they mandated changes that were irrelevant to the product's acceptance, at best, and sometimes positively negative. Meanwhile, critically important enhancements were ignored. It is fortunate, indeed, that marketing was located in a different state, else I probably would have killed someone.
